Where most trackers stop, we start

Everything the app can do.

Most trackers hand you a box and walk away. We’re a software company — the Orb is simply how you plug into the app. Open it once, and you’ll understand why owners keep it on their home screen.

Owner checking their vehicle's location from a porch chair

See where your vehicle is, right now

Live location on a map, refreshed as often as you like — from your couch or the other side of the country.

A movement alert arriving on a phone

Know the moment your vehicle moves

A push alert the instant your vehicle is bumped, started, or driven off — before it’s out of the driveway.

Setting a geofence zone in the app

Set a safe zone

Draw a circle around home, work, or the lot. The app tells you the moment the vehicle leaves it.

Sharing live location with family

Bring the family in

Share the Orb’s live location with the people you trust — no extra accounts to set up.

Live in the LocoNav app

See the app in action.

Hover or tap any feature and the real app screen plays out — track live, replay a trip, draw a geofence, share a link, fire an SOS. It auto-plays on its own.

Let’s be straight

Can we talk about the monthly plan, please?

A subscription for a tracker feels unnecessary to a lot of people. GPS is free — your phone proves it every day. We respect that. So here’s the part nobody explains.

Did you know GPS only works one way? A device can listen to satellites for free — that’s how your phone navigates without a bill. But listening only tells the Orb where it is. Its real job is telling you — instantly, from a parking garage, a highway, three counties away. That message travels on the same cellular networks your phone uses, and airtime on those networks is rented, month by month. It can’t be bought once, forever. Not by us. Not by anyone.

You already pay $20 or more a month to keep one phone connected. The Orb’s plan keeps your car connected — its own SIM, its own line, reporting every ten seconds, at any speed, for one flat price.

It’s the same deal as a home alarm. The box on the wall is a one-time purchase — but the monitoring, the part that’s awake at 3 a.m., has always been billed monthly. In a hundred and fifty years, nobody has sold it any other way. The Orb works exactly the same: you buy the device once. The plan keeps it awake.

So what about trackers that promise “no monthly fee”? Read their reviews — customers explain it better than we could. Most are Bluetooth tags: the map says “last seen 3 hours ago,” the trail goes cold once the car leaves a busy street, and the thief’s own phone politely warns them a tag is riding along. The rest hide a year or two of prepaid airtime inside a bigger price tag — then go quiet the day it runs out. There’s no third kind. If it watches, someone pays for the line.

Our side of the deal is simple: the Orb is deliberately overbuilt, we sell it for less than it costs us to build, and it’s backed by a lifetime warranty. The plan carries the service, so the device doesn’t have to.

Trying a tracker can feel like a leap. So the first 30 days are money-back — if it isn’t for you, for any reason, we refund you. Cancel in one tap.

Why one-car families and trailer owners pick the Orb

Why the Orb finds your vehicle when ordinary trackers can’t.

Most trackers go quiet when no other phone is nearby, or charge you more every time you want a faster update. The Orb carries its own 4G connection and one flat price — so you always know where your vehicle is, the moment it moves.

01Finds your vehicle on any cell signal.

Locosafe Orb™

Works anywhere there's a signal — city, highway, or the middle of nowhere.

Ordinary trackers

Many use Bluetooth, so they only update when another phone passes close by. In quiet or faraway places with few phones around, they often go silent.

02Lasts years on a charge, not days.

Locosafe Orb™

Over 2 years on one charge in standby mode.*

Ordinary trackers

A few days to a few weeks between charges.

03One flat price, at any update speed.

Locosafe Orb™

One flat monthly rate — whether you check it once a day or every ten seconds.

Ordinary trackers

Pay more every time you want faster updates.

04Covered for life, not just a year.

Locosafe Orb™

Lifetime hardware warranty — if it ever fails, we replace it.

Ordinary trackers

Usually just a one-year warranty.

05Stays with the car, not your phone.

Locosafe Orb™

The Orb rides inside the car and reports the car’s own location, so you can see where it is even when you and your phone are far away.

Your phone / Google Timeline

These only track your phone. If the car is stolen while your phone is in your pocket, they show your location — not the car’s.

06Works on any car — owned, leased, older, or resold.

Locosafe Orb™

One Orb, any vehicle — old, new, leased, borrowed, or shared. Take it with you when you switch cars.

Your car’s built-in app

A built-in app is tied to the manufacturer. It won’t work on your other car, and it goes away if you sell.

*In standby / infrequent-ping mode. Real-world battery life varies with conditions.

Not just vehicles

6 things people use the Orb to track.

How it works

Charge it. Place it. Watch it on your phone.

No technician, no installation fee. Set up takes about five minutes.

Step 01

Charge it once

Plug in the USB-C cable for four hours. The 10,000 mAh battery fills up — over two years of tracking before the next charge.

This is the only time you’ll touch a cable — it’s for charging, not installing. Nothing wires into your car.

Step 02

Download the Loconav app

Download the free Loconav app on iOS or Android — the app over 2 million users worldwide already trust. When your Orb arrives, scan the QR code on the back and the built-in SIM activates itself in about 5 minutes.

Step 03

Place it anywhere

One-second install — no tools, no wiring. Drop it in the glovebox, center console, seat pocket, trunk lining, or under a seat. Sealed against rain, dust, and road spray.

Battery life

You decide how long the battery lasts.

Ask for a location every ten seconds and the Orb runs for over two weeks. Ease off to once an hour and it stretches past six months. Leave it in motion-sleep on a parked vehicle and it keeps watch for over two years — waking the instant the vehicle moves.

You setHow often it checks in
Every 10 sec
You getHow long the battery lasts

Change it whenever you like. Set how often the Orb reports its location right in the app — dial it up for faster updates, or ease off to stretch the battery for months.

Figures are manufacturer estimates in moderate conditions; cold weather can reduce them 15–25%.

Why we built this

Asset tracking has been underserved by hardware sellers — a box in the mail, then silence. We come from the other side: B2B-hardened tracking software that enterprises run every day, doing exactly this job — keeping valuable assets from disappearing.

The enterprises below trust Loconav’s platform with their operations. The Orb brings that same software to your driveway — you can take a chance on us too.

Questions you'll ask next

Straight answers. No fine print.

Questions one-car families and truck & trailer owners ask.

Will I get hit with surprise fees down the line?
No. On the 1-Year plan it’s $14.17/mo with the device included free. Or start at $25 today with the monthly plan, cancel anytime. That price covers the SIM, the app, real-time location, every type of alert, and trip history. There is no premium tier. We won’t auto-bump you. If we ever change pricing for new customers, your rate is locked.
Is there a discount I can use?
Yes — one. The mystery-discount tab on the right edge of the page reveals a code for 10% off any order over $50 when you share your email. One promotion per order — codes never stack.
What's the real battery life — not the marketing number?
Depends on how often you check the location. At infrequent ping intervals (a few location pings a day, sleep when still), you'll get well over two years on one charge. In "active mode" (10-second refresh when moving, sleep when still), you'll get weeks. In continuous real-time tracking, days. The app shows you battery percentage and projected time left at your current settings. Real-world battery life varies with conditions — cold weather can reduce these figures 15–25%.
Is it actually real-time, or is there lag?
10-second refresh in active mode. That's not instant — nothing using cell networks is — but it's as fast as the best consumer trackers on the market. You can also "ping" the device on demand from the app for an immediate update.
Won’t it cry wolf with false alerts?
No. A real GPS tracker only pings you when it matters — when the vehicle actually moves, or leaves a zone you’ve set. You set the rules, so you’re not buried in alerts every time someone walks past, the way a cheap Bluetooth tag can be.
Does it work in rural areas or dead zones?
The Orb uses 4G LTE Cat 1, which has noticeably better range than the Cat M1 or NB-IoT used in some cheaper trackers. It also falls back to 2G GSM where 4G is unavailable. For positioning, it combines GPS, BeiDou, and LBS (cell tower triangulation), so even when satellites are blocked — inside a garage, inside a shipping container — the tracker still has a working location.
How is this different from an AirTag?
AirTag is a Bluetooth tag. It only works when an iPhone happens to walk past it. In a remote area, an empty lot, or a moving vehicle far from other phones, AirTag goes silent. The Orb runs on the same cellular networks your phone uses, so it works anywhere a phone works. AirTag also has no tamper alert — if a thief finds it, the device just stops reporting. The Orb tells you the moment they touch it.
Doesn’t my phone already track this for free?
Phone-based tools like Google Timeline track the phone, not the car — and the two are usually in different places. The Orb travels with the vehicle and updates its live location on its own connection, so what you see is where the car is, not where you are.
Is my location private — who can see it?
Your location is yours. You see it in the app, and the only other people who see it are the ones you choose to share a live link with — like the police, if your vehicle is ever taken.
Do I have to install or hardwire it?
No. There’s no wiring and no shop visit. A built-in magnet holds it to any steel surface in seconds, or it sits in the glovebox or trunk. The USB-C port is only for recharging — every 8–12 weeks in regular use, or up to two years in standby. Because nothing connects to the car’s electronics, there’s nothing to install and nothing to undo.
What if I’m not techy?
If you can charge a phone, you can set up the Orb. Charge it, tuck it somewhere in the vehicle, and you’re done — no wiring, no tools, no installation.
My car already has a built-in app.
Many newer cars do, and they’re great while the manufacturer subscription is active. The Orb is for the vehicles that don’t — older cars, leased cars, a second or work vehicle, a trailer — and it isn’t tied to any one car’s system, so it keeps working when you sell the car or move it to the next one.
What if I want to cancel?
Open the app, go to your subscription, and tap Cancel — it takes effect right away, with no phone call and no retention script. Service runs through the end of the period you already paid for, then stops; we don't refund unused time on prepaid plans. The Orb stays yours, and you can reactivate any time at the then-current rate. Inside the first 30 days, mail the device back for a full refund of the device cost (our money-back guarantee).
How do returns and refunds work?
If you decide the Orb isn't for you, mail it back within 30 days from the day it arrived for a full refund of the device cost. The unit must come back in its original packaging with all components included. If the device has already been activated we'll refund the hardware but can't refund the network plan that was already paid to the carrier on your behalf. Full step-by-step instructions, RMA process, and the address to ship to are on the Returns policy page.
